MSc. Electrical Engineer. Andrés Alejandro Rojas Quintana

PROFILE
I am a professional with the capacity to analyze (reinforced through my undergraduate and postgraduate studies) and with the conviction that through self-demand we can generate and deliver quality products to the client. Quality encompasses the link between quantitative and qualitative indicators.
Qualitative indicators include wisdom, honesty and responsibility. The quantitative ones include precision, flexibility of interpretation, elaboration of precise graphics and easy compression.
With a constant initiative to learn from the different professionals that make up a work team, for this I turn to prepare questions, interviews and research in specialized literature. In this way, I broaden the spectrum of knowledge and vision with which the projects are elaborated.
Among my job skills, I highlight the wisdom, eloquence and synthesis in regards to oral and written communication, and an innate inclination to conduct research concerning complex justifying results.
My professional chronology is as follows:

During my years of professional practice in Venezuela (2009-2015) I dedicated myself to teaching activities at the Simón Bolívar University (USB), as well as to the development of consulting projects for the public and private industry at the Institute of Energy of the Simón Bolívar University (INDENE-USB).
In 2010 I joined USB as a Teaching Assistant and postgraduate student in the Master's program in Electrical Engineering. As a teaching assistant I was in charge of the Distribution Systems Laboratory, which is a practical subject where undergraduate students in electrical engineering have an approach to activities related to energy audits, electrical parameter measurement techniques in industrial systems and techniques for measuring grounding systems.

In 2011 I promoted the position of Instructor Professor to exclusive dedication, being in charge of the Medium and Low Voltage Installations subjects and again the Distribution Systems Laboratory. Installations in Medium and Low Voltage is a theoretical subject in which the student are dedicated to the realization of approximate calculations for the specification of electrical installations, such as calculation of losses, voltage drop, ampere capacity, modeling of three-phase lines (aerial and underground). In the last part of the course, advanced algorithms such as three-phase load flow are explored using iterative convergence methods.
During the years 2012 to the end of 2013 I dedicated myself - in parallel to the teaching activities - to the culmination of my master thesis called State Estimation in Distribution Systems using Energy as Pseudomedida, which obtained by unanimous verdict Outstanding mention. In the middle of 2013 I received the title of Master in Electrical Engineering.

During the years 2014 to 2015 I dedicated myself to the courses Electrical Systems 1 and 2, in which the three-phase models of motors, generators, lines, transformers, compensation banks are presented and calculations are made based on their joint interaction. Sequence network techniques are used for short circuit calculations

In mid-2015 I ascended to the academic ranks in the position Assistant Professor.
From the beginning of 2016 to the present I am been living in Argentine Republic. My professional practice in Argentina is composed by:
In mid-2017 I participated in professional activities of integral energy access for the international consulting of the company SIGLA (Energy Consultant). I participated in projects to specify tariff schedules and study of technical losses (Guatemalan energy distribution company) and at the end of 2017 I participated full-time in a project to review indicators and propose technical / operational improvements for confidentiality for a company of Peruvian electricity distribution.
At the beginning of the year 2018 I started working at the High Voltage electric power transport company, TRANSENER. I am currently attached to the Department of Transformer Stations in charge of Eng. Gastón Secchi (gaston.secchi@transener.com.ar). My duties in this company consist of the review of all the detailed engineering for the construction and / or expansion of HV transformer stations in the national transmission network of the Argentine Republic. The reviews cover construction details, electrical calculations, metric calculations, mechanical calculations, thermoelectric calculations and grounding system checks using specialized software tools and international safety regulations.
